The Rose
The 2009 Texas Beta Sigma Phi State Service Project is THE ROSE, a diagnostic and treatment center for breast cancer.  It helps women regardless of their ability to pay.  For every paying client (insurance), it allows the ROSE to provide screening and treatment for those who are less
fortunate.

Send your 2009 Donations to:  Janice Lahr, Service Chair
5142 Holly Terrace, Houston, Texas 77056.

For your information:

Make sure you register with your LEGAL name, and you have appropriate documents.
Passports will NOT be required on this cruise as we are leaving a US Port and returning to a US Port, however, PASSPORTS are recommended.  A CERTIFIED copy of your birth certificate and a drivers license (or photo i.d.) is all that is required.  If you want to get your
passport or passcard, you can apply at www.travel.state.gov/passport.

We are delighted to be able to bring you a state convention in 2010!  We all want a annual event, but alas, had no bid at the 2009 Convention in Galveston.  So, we're doing it again, this time on a beautiful cruise ship heading down to the turquoise waters of the Caribbean.  More fun that you can shake a stick at; more activities to be involved with, and all the traditional Beta Sigma Phi activities you enjoy on land, we'll have on the ship.

The ship is like new, just renovated in the fall of 2009 with 98 new balconies; a new adult only solarium, new waterpark and more.  The ship just shines! Prices are based on availability at the time of reservation.  And, the good thing is that these prices include your gratuities and your convention registration.  It is all inclusive pricing.

We are looking for a chapter or several sisters that would help us with a closing ritual.  If you are interested, just email us.  Scrapbook/yearbook judging forms are located on the www.betasigmaphihouston.org website. Just follow the links.
